I bought a new Ruger SR9 last week and noticed a Green dot sticker on the frame above the trigger guard. What is it on there for ?

I thought it was so the ATF satellite could track it from space -- scratch it off and they break down your door.

Uh oh ... I took off my green sticker on my new Mark III .... who's that at the door?????

In all seriousness I wondered what it was for as well, so I did learn something from this thread, and got a good LOL.

It means that pistol shoots best with Alliant Green Dot. A blue sticker means it shoots best with Blue Dot and red with Red Dot.

HEY! You're reading it on the interwebz, it HAS to be true!
