300 AAC round.

Does anyone have a single factory loaded 300 AAC round I can buy off them? I don't have the upper yet but I'm trying to get my reloading gear setup to make brass from .223 and would like to have a round to reference.

Thanks.

What bullet do you intend to use? I could load you a dummy round and send you but it's not necessary. Making the brass isn't hard, but it's time consuming. I've probably made 5 or 6 thousand over the years. I would be happy to talk you through the process.

I'm not exactly sure which bullet I want to use yet. It'll probably be something mostly in a 200+ subsonic bullet. I've already started processing the brass now. I bought a cheap metal chop saw at harbor freight and have hacked the necks off of about 300-400 cases. I bought a 300 aac case trimmer and gauge so now I'm trimming to exact length. Now all Ive got to do is resize. I just wanted something to compare measurements to. I'm getting some mixed instructions on how far down to adjust the die. I've read that it needs to just barely touch the die with the ram up, while the dies say to screw the die in until it touches and back it out one full turn. I suspect it's somewhere in between.

Thanks for that link. I think I'm going to assemble a 7.62x40 Wilson Tactical and I was trying to figure out a way to trim cases efficiently.

I've been looking into 300aac as well. I have a 7.62 phantom on the way. I'll probably be chopping down a bunch of 556 brass too.
