Roger that. If NRA eliminated its direct mail program, membership fees could go down dramatically.

NRA is currently doing a Life Membership for Half Price offer. I just upped to life and actually now get to vote on some matters and they sent me a copy of the association by-laws. Now that was a real page-turner, let me tell you...

where did you find this at? i can not find it for half price

xd shooter & I jioned NRA on the day we took our permit class that was 4/5/08. Through the teacher. We have not recieved anything from them? How long does it take? I tried to buy tickets to go to the NRA annual meeting in May in Louisville but you have to have your member number. ?????? Do they sell out? We so wanted to go.

It can take them four to six weeks to process the application and that is once the NRA receives it from the recruiter. However, the recruiter is *supposed* to send in the applications within a week of the new members signing up.

I would suggest you calling NRA Membership Account Information at (877)672-2000 and ask if they have you in the system yet. If they do, they might just be able to read your member number to you or email it to you.

If you hit a speed bump there, email the Annual Meeting dept. at AM_Response@nrahq.org and ask them what your options are in this situation.

Actually, I havent bought that in a very long time either...and I said I had enough for ONE of them right now, GOA, or NRA...its more than just me, I am siging my family up individually as well....5 people...adds up...

annnnnnnnnnddddd.....I also said "I gotta do something...."

I know, I have no excuse...I HONESTLY, and this is in all Honesty...I just dont see a lot of action...but then again, I suspect that GOA, and NRA are more at the federal level? I am specifically talking about the bills we just lost...where were the groups then? I saw nothing on the news to counter the "guns in bars" bill... I just dont want to feel like I am givin my money away for a sticker in my window... OK, begin the bashing....

It takes quite a while to get anything. It took about 4-6 weeks to get my card and first magazine IIRC.
