Clear it......check it......announce it is clear.....5 seconds, done, move on. The long drawn out process is annoying.

I have watched a couple videos where the guy says "and for all of those negative comments last time, here is me performing a safety check". I assumed that a bunch of wankers light up the video maker if the safety check is not done on camera, and yes, it gets annoying.

I kind of fall in the middle on this issue. on one hand, you should always check the chamber/barrel when handling any firearm or really anything capable of shooting any projectile actually. Having said that, there does seem to be a group of people out there unable to tell the difference between looking at a video and actually being in the presence or possession of something. Safety check and move on, the world doesn't need to double check you after the fact just so we can see a video of you telling us how much you love or hate whatever it is your showing off.

Of course maintenance walkthroughs and the like should make an emphasis on this crucial step, but for most reviews short and sweet suits me best.
