Congrats!!!! I bought the SR1911 a few months ago and I love it. LOVE it.

Today I just bought a Ruger Mark III Hunter, 5.5" Fluted Barrel (Talo Exclusive). They said it had been in the case less then 5 minutes when I walked in and bought it LOL. Pics/range report will be coming soon. I'm trying to muster up the gumption to take it apart and lube it up.

i also bought a Colt 1911 today as well......I can not tell a lie

I feel like I paid 700 for a gun and +200 for the colt name

This may be true, but at least you have both now. I think you'll like them both! I've never seen a 1911 I didn't like.

Also don't think anyone can have enough 1911's (or glocks ... or guns in general).e

Direct Hit is a great gun store I always end up spending more than I should in there.He has a good thing going and always has stuff in stock for ar's and a nice selection of guns too.

ran 75 rounds though the Ruger today,,,,,,,,,all went bang,the gun is def in my collection for the long haul

and if your looking for a 1911 for a nice price and can locate one I would not hesitate to recommend

I second this sentiment. Of course that's a BIG IF you can find it.
