I thought you were talking about shooting a barking dog at first....but are you asking about shooting a trespasser because your dogs are barking at him?

My dogs usually begin howling before the object of their interest is trespassing.

unfortunately, our neighbors dogs generally just howl mostly out of boredom (and are routinely bored) . There are probably 4-5 pockets of dogs, and one pack will set off several others. It is too easy to dismiss them to consider them for security purposes. If they were trained better, exercised and played with more, perhaps. For this neighborhood, It is all-out, or nothing, and no real threat correlation to the dog's responses.

Yeah, me too. We have the 2 chihuahua alarm system, and as long as we keep em fed, thats all our service cost, and they are very good at hearing anything, er.. uh.., is that now some kind of unfair advantage against the criminals? Edited February 28, 2012 by gl19gobang
