This is ridiculous. I am a full time student at TSU and I feel I need my gun most down off Jefferson. October 27th 2010 another TSU student was shot but killed at Jefferson st right out of the gates. We need to get the law passed where us students can carry!

It's disgusting that students are not allowed to defend themselves. I never felt safe on UT's campus.

It probabably wouldn't fly, given that one would likely have to substantiate negligence on the part of the school, but perhaps a couple of multi-million $$$ lawsuites due to the school not properly providing for the security of their students/faculty would get some of them to re-evaluate their poilcy...nothing gets the attention of a monolithic organization, even a liberal one, than hitting their pocketbook in a major way.

This is terrible a student cant even FEEL safe in his dorm. I say the school should teach better training of how to run and hide or how to call 911 with the quickness or more phones, ya phones everywhere with 911 on the speed dial. And if all else fails he could just live in a church, I hear churches are the best place to be and FEEL safe.
