Military Homecoming

I saw this http://knoxvillelawncrashers.com/Military-Homecomings.html and was wondering from some people that served if this is something that would be a good welcome home. The site people said they will have pics up soon. I just don't know how it would be recieved by the service person. I have priced it out for me to do it myself and it would cost almost $100 so they look like they are a good deal. Just wondering about the idea.

Just did the math on how much If I did it myself and it came out to 135 after tax and shipping. So it is good deal, just don't know if it is something that he would like. If anyone has used this company or has done something like this let me know how it was recieved.

I don't know Scott. Sounds like a decent idea to me. Nothing wrong with a big show of patriotism when a loved service member is coming home. Don't forget to have the Patriot Guard Riders escort him home from the airport/base.

It may be a deal but when I got home I just wanted to relax at home I didn't want a big deal made so it all depends on who you are welcoming home.

bteague that is what I was wondering, I think that he would like it but I wanted some opinions from people that have come home recently.

Yeah, I'd say that it depends on the person. I always had a significant other waiting on me so I didn't want a big deal made... I just wanted a few days privacy.

I'm actually a few days out from being home, all I want when I get there is my wife and daughter and to be left alone for a few days. Again it depends on the person like TMF said. I'm the type of person that is more likely to tell you I'm a plumber (which I was in Ohio) than to mention the military much less what I do there. The only way you will see me in a uniform is if you work with or around me. I don't care much for making things a big deal, birthdays, holidays much less me coming home from my job. Best thing to do is to drop hints or ask how they would like it.
