I just bought my first gun online today, and was it easy. I bought a Springfield Xd sub-compact 9 online today and got an absolute steal. I had an sc40 about 2 years ago, but sold it due to immature stupidity. Luckily I got this 9mm version for less than you could get it anywhere...including academy. I bought from kygunco.com and it was crazily pleasant. I refuse to use buds because they annoy me with their "cash discount" bull s***. I'll definitely buy from there again, assuming everything is great when I receive it. I used D&T for the FFL, and as usual....they are always great. This was ridiculously easy. I'll post some pics and a review here when I get it. Where are you guys buying online from these days?

You do realize that many shops offer cash discount prices? But I guess it's BS that shops offer you a way to save more money. :P I've bought all my online purchases almost exclusively from Buds.

No I wasn't aware of that, and no shop employees have ever mentioned that. Let me be clear... cash discounts aren't the BS I'm speaking of... trying to figure out their pricing + shipping costs is. It's like a circus... email for pricing...do this calculous equation for the price... I just want to know the price... and if a 3% CC fee must be applied... just say so... Buds tries to lure people in with their prices, but take out the "cash discount*" and the prices are about the same as anywhere online.

I have purchased at least 3 handguns and one rifle from Buds and even using a credit card their prices are still cheaper than I have found elsewhere. Their shipping is also fast, I think the longest I have waited is one week and it is usually only a few days. There isn't really any confusion to their pricing, the advertised price is the cash price which already includes shipping. If you want to use a credit card add 3% to that. I think I have made one purchase from a seller on gunbroker and it went smooth also.

how did you do the accent painting Id like to try that on my XD 45 looks good . do you just cover the whole section in paint and wipe off access to leace it in the grooves or do you need a super microscopic size brush to paint inside the groves?

Edit never Mind I figured it out

Edit never Mind I figured it out

cover it all, q-tip and fingernail polish remover. rub lightly over the area and it only pulls the excess off.
