I've been jones'n for one of these for years.

To me, it's the pinnacle of sweet irony. The waffenamt ground off and a nice big Star of David on top. BEAUTIFUL! I'm VERY jealous.

The FN Mauser was built in the 1950s for Israel which is why it had the IDF crest.

Prior to these, the IDF used German mausers which they pinged the swazis off and stamped with small star of David's.

I have both kinds now :)

The rifle was is good condition - the usual dings in the wood, finish is a bit worn, but the bore is excellent.

Took it out today to the range and shot it. Shoots a bit to the left and Needs some slight windage adjustment but I didn't have tools with me
