Boolit pulling

I bought a Franklin Arsenal impact puller in 1992 and have pulled a bunch of boolits. I would guess over 4,000. It takes for ever to finish a job. It does good on my 38's and 357s, but not 9m.

I ordered a Forster collet-style puller with a .356/.357 collet from midway tuesday night and got it yesterday. WOW, I had 4 trays of 9m done in less than an hour. For some reason I had a few boolits to fall deeper into the case and can't grip them to pull. So out with the hammer again on those. I'm about half way pulling all this bad ammo I got in the last deal. But this puller will make it go faster.

Chas, The 4,000 or so bullets I've puller were from deals I've bought. Either factory reloads with no primers or no powder. $10. per thousand is a good deal for either primers or jacketed bullets. That's been in the last 5 years. Find a place you can buy a thousand primers for $10. or a thousand bullets for $10..

This is ammo I bought at an estate sale. 1 box of 25 trays of 9mm and 1 box of 22 trays of 38 spls. for $20.00, 90% jacketed bullets. So well less than the cost of new jacketed bullets. Makes it worth the time to pull them. Plus the bad cases will add to the scrap that I add to my sales for income on our low retirement income system. Since I get to sit in this chair 90% of the time, it keeps me busy.

My reloads of 20 years still shoot great. With my grandson today, we shot 1 box of 38 spls. dated Nov. 12, 1991, a box of 357s dated April 17, 1995 and 2 boxes of 9m dated July 7, 1996, all good fires.

Sorry for the blow off. Disabled american
