Most RP supporters are like BHO supporters, you simply can't talk to them and get them to see the reasoning and seriousness of this coming election.

Even if he did win, there would be no House or Senate that would support his ideas.

 It's not worth arguing about.

Sometimes a little arguing can expose some for what they really are: Obamabots or the brain dead.

I think you need to check your condensing attitude;

1. My attitude is FAR from "condensed". Lmao.

2. What you "think" doesn't concern me in the slightest.

3. Glad we understand each other. ;)

you know Its a Shame when thousands show Up to a veterans March in washington and our own media wont cover it, but Russia does??

Watching people get brainwashed by our media daily just makes me sick . Imagine if thousands of veterans showed up to support Romney or Obama or Santorum

Our Media would be all over it Its just disgusting anymore.

Atleast Russia Today coverd it Live .

Wow...you can't even quote my misspelling correctly. I'd say it looks like you and Obama (who you will help put back into office with your non-vote/third-party vote) deserve each other.

I can at least say this for you - you are an excellent example of RP's supporters. ROTFLMAO

I don't think anyone disagrees that Rp has received unfavorable media attention, but voting for him in the general as a third party/write-in won't teach the media any lessons. If votes are diverted away from ABO in November, the MM wins.

I do like some things Ron Paul proposes but I truely haven't decided who I'm going to vote for yet. But I am going to vote regardless of who is on the ballot. And most people who support Ron Paul do so in a die hard fashion. But let me ask you what will you do when he doesn't do all the stuff he promises to do? Haven't we already heard tons of promises from every person who has ran or even won that didn't do them? We can't assume one person is the end all answer and great "hope" like many did last election. I don't dislike RP or his supporters, hell I might even vote for him as I'm still undecided but I can see how some of his supporters come across in an undesirable way. But politics is a hot topic that brings out emotions and angers many.

Ron Paul get's media coverage...in fact, RP turns down major oppotunities - the left media isn't going to cover a march of veterans in Washington unless they were marching for Obummer. Hell, they claimed a "few thousand" showed up for Restoring Honor even though hundreds of thousands were there (including me) and they did the same thing with the March on DC in 2009 (I was there for that one too).

Whatever coverage RP doesn't get has more to do with his numbers in the polls and primary results than anythign else...no one in the press (right or left) was giving Santum the time of day until he started performing well in the primaries.

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter.

The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back.

He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question He asked:

"Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke.

"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.

When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again.

You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.

They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.

Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America . The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths:

1) There is no such thing as a free lunch, someone is paying for it.

2) When you begin to think that having your government provide for you and make your decisions is ok, realize that youรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve also given up the freedom that goes with making your own choices.

This is the reason that BHO must go at whatever cost or pride you must suck up.

Believe it or not a Lot Of Ron Paul supporters are former obama supporters so I say a Vote for Ron Paul is a Vote Taken from Obama

Which is why in Head to head Polls against Obama especially the Most recent Ron Paul beats Obama more than any other candidate

Congressman Paul bests President Obama 49-42 percent, the largest margin of victory for any of the other GOP contenders. Obama would beat Newt Gingrich 51 percent to 37 percent, while Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney would beat Obama by four percent and two percent, respectively, both within the +/- 4 percent margin of error for the poll. In 2008 President Barack Obama beat Senator John McCain by nearly 10 percent in Iowa.

Notably, Paul wins 55 percent of the under-30 vote, a demographic that Obama won 66 percent in 2008

Id say a vote for anyone other than Ron Paul in the republican Primary is a vote for more of the down hill spiral. Ron Paul supporters will Vote for Ron Paul Period

We are against Warmongers of Both Party's even if its just for the simple fact that we are Broke and need to quit spending , and if the republicans don't support that then we wont support them .

So Id say if you vote other than RP in the Primary then you are voting against the republican Party because they cant win without Ron Paul and his supporters

However if the tables were turned all the Romney heads and Santorum warmongers would jump on the Paul Bandwagon and propel the Republican Party to victory in the General which will only Happen if Ron Paul wins the Primary.

It is easy to see what a fine mess our country is in when a group of like minded folks like ourselves have so many differing opinons about what is the most important election of my lifetime. (IMHO of course)

I do not mean to say that the differences among us are a bad thing. The fact that we can have so different thoughts on the matter is just an example of the freedoms that we do still enjoy.

I just wish that there was someone that we could all agree on to unseat the current resident of the whitehouse and find it sad that no one has emerged as that person.

I can only hope that by the end of this year BO and his friends are packing their things. I am very afraid of the future that my kids will face if that is not the case.

I too have sworn that I would never again hold my nose and vote, but I also feel that getting this current group out of office is far too important to just sit this one out. So for better or worse and as much as it may stink, it will be ABO for me.

A vote for Ron Paul instead of Obama would be a vote taken from Obama if (and that's a big if) one can be absolutely sure the person would otherwise vote for Obama...the positions and values between those two people are so significant that I find it difficult to believe that any significant number of current RP supporters once supported Obama. So, unless you have some significant and verifiable numbers to substantiate your assertion, I find the assertion highly unlikely.

Ron Paul may or may not be able to beat Obama in a head to head election and assuming that such polls would be true on a state by state basis but polls have shown the same with all four Republican candidates at least at one point. However, Ron Paul will not win the nomination, he won't even carry his home state in the primary, so whether he could or could not beat Obama is moot.

Respectfully, if you want to vote for RP, even as a write-in in the general election/third-party, etc., that is certainly your prerogative but doing so will not beat Obama and will much more likely only serve to return Obama to office.

I'm 56 now, been registered to vote since 18 and have never missed an election. I haven't read this entire thread, but see it's evolved into an discussion about RP. I can't in good conscience vote for someone who thinks it's OK for Iran to have a nuke. Isolationism is not a viable foreign policy in this day and age, the genie is way too far out of the bottle for that. I do like his economic views, but that isn't enough in these times. FWIW, I voted for Perot and helped get Clinton elected, won't make that mistake again.

A lot of folks feel the same as you and the RP drum has been beaten in several threads prior to this one.

Let me be the first non-paul supporter to tell you that "isolationism" is not the correct description, it "NON-INTERVENTIONIST". :D

I wouldn't have any trouble voting for RP as the nominee but of the three candidates I've donated to this year, only one is still in the race so that's who I'll be voting for in the primary. Come November I'll be punching the button for whoever is the Republican nominee...the country simply can't afford another BHO term and ANYBODY running for the Republican nomination is far, far better than the current socialist in chief.

Romney is no more a constitutionalist than the current liar in chief.

I doubt that but then again, I consider him and Gengrich to be the worst 2 of the 4. That said, I don't believe Romney is a socialist or that he hates this country or that he wants to drive the country into bankruptcy/turn it into a Greece all of which I DO believe Obummer wants.

More importantly, while there would likely be decisions I disagree with, I believe Romney, Santorum, Geingrich and Paul are men who will at least try to make the best decisions for the country - whereas you can only count on Obummer to make the best decision for himself.

Been registered since '75 and have voted in almost every election that has come around since then.

Got you beat by three years :)

The voting age (26th amendment) lowered the voting age to 18 in 1971 and I turned 18 in 1972 just in time to vote in that year's presidential election...I had to vote absentee a few times while I was floating around the Med or the North Atlantic but I've never missed a November election of the only primaries I've missed (two or three) were those where nothing was being decided that I cared anything about.
