It's just your usual Russian ammo. I've used tons of it and have had no real problems with it.

It is a great practice ammo. I bought 100 rounds a few weeks ago in 9mm and had 5 Fail To Fire. They had good primer hits but did not go boom. Last Saturday I shot 300 rounds and have 4 Fail To fire with good primer hits. That is why I say it is great practice ammo. It makes me practice my malfunction clearing drills. Tap, Rack, Bang!

The only guns I've heard that consistently have problems are DPMS AR's. Not a knock on DPMS, they just tend to be the ones I hear of having problems with Tula/Wolf/Golden Bear/Brown Bear/Silver Bear/etc. I've used it in a variety of AR's and AK's pretty much exclusively and I've never had a problem.

I have a Sig that doesn't like the 9mm. My AR eats the .223 just fine.

I pulled some 7.62x39 Tula down today to use the cases to load quality components in. While I was at it I decided to check the powder charge and the bullet weights. As far as the powder goes they fluctuated between 25.1 and 25.6 grains. I did have one measure 23.0 grains but it was so far out of the norm I didn't count it as a good measurement. The bullets also fluctuated by a lot as well. So far out of about 40 pull downs the bullets ranged from 120.6 grains to 124.9 grains in weight.

I also noticed that some of them had a bullet that literally fell out of the case. I was using an impact puller and almost ever case took 3+ smacks to free the bullet. But a few of them came loose on the first smack. I am sure this doesn't help accuracy either.

And finally, every bullet measured .308" in diameter not .311" like AK's need to shoot well.

After sorting the pulled bullets by weight and I was able to get 5 bullets that weighed the same out of the two boxes, 40 rounds, I pulled down.

Next I took those 5 bullets that weighed the same and loaded them over exactly 25.4 grains of factory powder. I weighed each and every powder charge to ensure they were exactly the same. And finally I seated those bullets to the same length. I did this to see if these components could be accurate, I suspect it will shoot better than factory ammo but still not as good as quality components.

I will say that most people who shoot pistol calibers seem to like Tula for the money. I have shot a lot of 5.56 Tula and it is reliable but a bit underpowdered. I chronographed some and they averaged 2850 fps out of a 16" barrel.

Ive shot lots of 45 in glock 21's. But i dont trust the 9mm i got a box that seemed hot and then a case got stuck in the chamber. It took a brass rod to get the case out

I have never had any problems with the .223 IMO it is worth the saving if you are not a reloader

I bought a box just to try out. Fte on 2 different guns. The case was so stuck in the chamber I had to take a cleaning rod and hammer it out. Since I'm not exactly notorious for cleaning my ARs I attributed it to a dirty chamber. 2 of my friends both with ruger ARs claimed it would never happen to their guns. It did the same thing in both of their guns. Another guy bought some a few weeks later and one of the rounds hardly had any powder.

I bought 2 sleeves of the primers, great savings over the other brands. 2 misfires in 600 rounds today. I shot them again, they fired. Sorry, I reload, never shot factory rounds.

Dpms will back this statement up, says so in owners manual. Domestic brass only to keep warranty.

Also very rapid fire or full auto brass is better as wolf or similar can't take the heat as well and will stick a lot. Thats on any ar from what I've seen.

I shot one 50 round box of 9mm out of my M&P and it did fine, but that is the extent of my testing. For 9mm your better off going with the Federal 100 count boxes at walmart. It's like 2 bucks higher a box but you also can keep your brass and even if you don't reload you can always get a little bit for it.

Not my favorite, but I've shot a lot of the 9mm in a variety of guns. Several Sigs, A PPQ, some Rugers a High Point carbine.

None really had any problems with it.

The primers are hard, so if you are running a lightened or worn hammer springs it's easier to end up with light strikes.

I bought two 50 round boxes of 9mm just to use for practice shooting. Was shooting with my M&P I use for IDPA. I have shoot alot of brass through this gun without a hiccup. Out of the 15 rounds of Tula I loaded, I had 4 FTFs. I even reloaded one of them and have two preimer strikes on an unfired cartrige. I guess this ammo will go to the bottom of my stash, or I guess I could shoot it with a slingshot when the zombies attack.

The bullets used are thin copper plated steel cored, even the .380s I used were (try the magnet trick). They're cheap but some indoor ranges won't allow them because of the richochet factor. I know the Gun Room in Lebanon will not allow them. I won't use them again. I'm a reloader, but not for my .380. I'll probably find a supplier of CCI Blazer somewhere, I've had good results with them in the past.

Tula bullets are not steel cored. They are "bi-metal", has lead core with steel over that (which is the magnetic part), covered finally in copper.

I have a buddy that has fired close to 1k of the 40s&w ammo with his xds and has not had a problem out of it. We put 500 rounds of 9mm through 2 m&p's yesterday with out a hiccup. I have never tried any of the rifle ammo so it may be another story there.

I've shot a lot of the .223 in two Minis. Had two swelled/whatever stuck casings in chamber, weeks apart. Pretty easy to get out with a Mini. They looked totally normal though, who knows?
