Firepower 100 round AR drum mag

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine has a 100 ? round drum magazine made by Firepower Inc of Hancock, Maine. Neither one of us knows anything about these mags. Not much on the web about them at all. Would like to know how to load and repair them. We don't even know if this thing works. Any info would be great.

It is a round metal drum with a clear plastic cover on one side. Out of the top center is what looks like a 5 round regular Ar mag.

No winding knob. It has a half butterfly handle on the back that lowers the follower back down into the drum. The follower looks sort of like a round but only comes up to within 2 inches of the top of the mag.

Yes it looks exactly like those.

I believe it originally came with some dummy rounds to get all the live rounds up the mag chute. If you wind the butterfly handle it should make room for rounds in the drum, it's just a large spring.

Ok Dont have the dummy rounds. It only seems to wind about 6 inches. So I guess its just about useless as is. Thanks for the info.

Is it rusted ? You don't have to use the dummies , just fill it with live rounds; it's just that all will not make it to the bolt before the spring craps out. It will get pretty hard to turn as it fills up.
