The earthquake in Illinois at 4:35? It was a 5.4 there but I definatly felt it for about 5 to 8 seconds.

You felt it pretty strong then, I can't say for sure but it probably was like a 3. here. It's true about dogs being very sensitive to quakes, mine was all upset for a while.

I live a couple of miles from a quarry that is not used very often. I though they were

blasting (sleepy). But you could hear all the cows and animals going crazy. My house

is surrounded by farms.

It woke me for the last few seconds of it. Something was rattling, which I thought was rain on the gutters, but it wasn't. My wife was awake and said the house was shaking. We were in San Diego in the 90's when a big one hit(well it was a big one to me). The wooden blinds over the bed were really shaking and the seagulls were having a fit. Pretty scary........

Yes I felt it, I work third shift and was sitting at my desk watching the mini blind rock back and forth. I was just wondering if it was gonna stop or get worse!

Personally, I didn't feel a a thing, but some friends just a few miles from me, and one of my customers in Bowling Green did.

The Bowling Green customer said he was on his toilet at about 4:30am when he felt the ground start to shake. Even though he'd been in the San Fernando Valley quake in the early 70's (one of the worst in U.S. history), he was a bit nervous. He said that he could actually feel it coming from a distance. From his account, it lasted about 10 seconds, and it gradually got stronger as the vibrations traveled closer to his home.

I think my wifes snoring kind of weakened the impact here. Between her and the dog most nights seem like an earthquake!
