Swamp rat or Scrapyard knife

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody need help, the wife gave me permission to buy a good fixed blade knife. I have been considering two different blade. I like the ratmandu from swamp rat and the sykco 711 from scrapyard. I don't need anything bigger than 7 inch blade cause I already have a cold steel kukri machete for heavy work.

Apparently not real well recognized unless you are into knives. I figure buy once cry once, warranty is worth anything if something happens and u can't send it back.

Absolutely. Their warranty is bulletproof, although odds are you won't need it. Put up some pics when you get it.

In my opinion, the RMD is just about a perfect hiking/camping/carry knife for everything except heavy chopping/brush clearing. I got one of the satin LE's they just released and it's absolutely fantastic. I've heard the HRLMs are nice but I've never had the chance to handle one.
