I have sure seen plenty 1911's for much more money but not being something that I would carry even 800 is a lot for me.

Somewhere in the 600 range and I may would consider putting one in the safe. But I dont think that I need to worry about that though.

IF ever they do come down that much it is going to be one good long while.

Maybe just maybe though, they sure are some good looking firearms and the worst thing that I have heard about them is that they are kinda hard to find.

Maybe just maybe one day I will have one but I see several others coming to live here first. ;)

Well, looks like Ruger is finally getting caught up a little bit on the SR1911 backlog. Picked one up at Guns & Ammo in Memphis for $669 plus the mandatory $10. I couldn't believe it when the tag didn't have "demo only" on it like they have had for the last year while using the only one they had to accept deposits. They said they had received quite a few, so get 'em before they are gone again. :D
