Loose Trigger

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I bought a S&W 1911 (model 108285) last month and love it. I do have one question. The trigger wobbles around. It just appears to be really loose when the hammer is down and not quite as loose when the hammer is cocked. Is this unusual for a 1911? Anyway to tighten it myself or is this something for a gunsmith?

Sounds like the trigger bow is bent. They are pretty simple to change.

Thanks, I'll check into that. It shoots great so I'm not in a big hurry but it does kind of bother me. I may even call S&W as it is soo new and now only has 200 rounds through it.
