NO suprise there. I figure it was BO's plan all along too.

Get ready for another ammo famine come the end of summer.

This is why I plan to hold my mose and vote for whoever is the Rupublican Candidate for President. We are not really voting for President here. We are voting for the the next couple of Supreme Court Justices to be named later, whoever they may be.

Well, the article didn't really have any substance other than saber rattling. We already knew that if any more SCOTUS justices retire, Obama will swing it to the left if he's re-elected.

Hey, there's still time for one to croak THIS term! Senate is still Dem, so he'll get whoever he wants.

Well... you're just a ray of sunshine today :pleased: . I don't know if Obama has the nads to appoint another commie before the election. He's still pretending to be benign when it comes to 2A. It will hurt him if he shows his cards now.

I don't see how you can underestimate the depth of O's ideological arrogance. It hasn't changed since day one in office.

Sotomayor and Kagan just sailed through, and expect no less if he gets another chance before the election. Maybe much worse, since he probably assumes the Senate has a good chance of going GOP, so he'd figure it might he his last chance to so easily juice it way way left.

It's like betting on horses, I guess. We have a small record on their rulings now. I think the opposition will get much louder this time around. Also, he was subbing one commie for another. One thing that Wayne may be overlooking... an aggressive attack against 2A could seriously damage the liberal cause for a decade or more. It's easy to forget that we have a voting public that's made up of a huge number of pro-gun folks. The public is stupid, but they exist. Slick Willie warned him about the gun thing.

I think it's more accurate to say we have a lot of people who own guns, but most don't pay any more attention to freedom issues in politics than those who don't own guns.

As far as the public, I agree with H.L. Mencken: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."

We'll see. He's probably going to get reelected anyway.

I rather think so too, judging at this point in time.

Best we can hope if so, is that both House and Senate are GOP. Loyal opposition and all that. Less gets done, but maybe good in the sense of "who governs least governs best."

Then again, as I sort of secretly think, maybe they really could impeach his ass with a majority in the Senate. Then we have to deal with Joe the Moron, though.

Mike, you seem taking this more seriously than ferinstance a year ago. Think I recall a time when you didn't expect Obama would make serious moves against 2A. And doubted they would likely be successful even if he tried.

My crystal ball is seriously defective though my tin foil hat always expects attacks on the 2A and likely always will.

Anything in particular that made you take this more seriously lately? Or was I misreading your level of concern a year ago?

Judges are the entire problem with 2A and Obama. I admit I am like Mikeg in regards to not having thought about things through their eyes. Thanks to OS for opening my vision.

If the Big O get two more judges on line and a case comes up questioning the legitimacy of privately owning firearms we are way liable to be on the short end of that stick.

And then what are we going to do?

Then comes the time for patriots to do what is demanded in the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

When other countries people rose up, Obama said their leaders should step down. So I am sure that when the people of the US rise up, Obama will gladley step down. Glenn
