I was guilty of trusting my 1st firearm without testing it. I was 19, couldnt buy a handgun, so I picked up a remington 870 home defense, and had it at my bedside for almost a month before actually test firing it.

Not typically something I do these days, actually not something I do at all, but I dont wanna throw stones in this glass house of mine, haha.

Guns should be reliable if you trust your life to it.

I suppose I'm the odd one because I have never bought a pistol that didn't jamb atleast once in the 1st few mags. I run them on through a few times and they work fine after they break in. Is that odd? Maybe I limp wrist a new one I dunno. But I wouldn't count on more than 3 or 4 shots coming out before a brand new gun jambed. If I got 100 rounds out of it I'd be pretty happy it would work like it had the last 50.

IMO you may be limping it.I have never had a new one malfunction,even my Jimenez arms 9,if you can believe it

Glocks are subject to limpwristing too. I once saw a constable doing that with a new G23. I pointed that out to him and the next range session he wasn't having the problem.

Yes, revolver dont care about being limpwristed. They dont care if you jam the muzzle against some guy's chest and pull the trigger. Of if you hold it right next to yours. They dont care about bullet weight or ogive.
