I hated these at first but the more I see them in reviews and in pictures I like them. Anyone own one or have anything good to say about them?

I’m curious about these also. What’s the difference in the “E series†and what they were making before?

I have a stainless SW1911 target (408284) it’s the same as a 108284 except LEO model with 3 mags instead of 2. Buds last price on the 108284 was $911, last price on the 108495 (e series) was $882. The difference in these two models appears to be adjustable target sights and woods grips vs. Crimson Trace Laser grips. With Crimson Trace grips being $339; the E-Series seems to be a pretty good deal if that is the only difference and you don’t absolutely want target sights.

I would order one of the E-Series at $882, but haven’t found anyone that has them in stock.

I recently purchased a stainless tactical model (108411) SW1911TA and think it is a beautiful & reliable 1911!

It has many premium features included that I was looking for and is made in the USA by S&W!

Here are a few pics of mine...

It also seems like you get alot of gun for the price. Filing on the back of the slide and top. Seems to good to be true, the external extractor doesn't bother me too much. Any one have one with high round count or have heard good or bad?
