A.R.M.S.® #41-B™ Folding Front Sight

Recommended Posts

Anyone out there have experience with the A.R.M.S.® "SILHOUETTE™" #41-B™ Folding Front Sight. I'm working on an AR upper and am considering the basic FSB/handguard setup using the ARMS unit with a midlength MOE handguard. I'm keeping my eyes open for one in a shop but have not run across one yet.

I have used them in the past. They work as advertised and I had zero problems with them.

Now comes the part where i give you my opinion. There really isn't a need for them unless you are using a low powered optic that will not allow the front sight to blur out. Better to have the front sight fixed in the up position. It is much more efficient and if you are using a red dot it will not make a difference if the sight is up or down. With both eyes open you will not even notice the sight is there.

Just got my new AR upper build in. Went with the Arms 41B folding front sight with triangular end cap and MOE midlength hand guard. Nice traditional setup and the Arms unit is solid. Easy to fold and raise with one hand.
