Hand gun training

I would like to find a firearms course in Mt Juliet or Lebanon for my wife. She has never fired a gun and knows nothing about them. She has offerder to get an HCP so she could legally take possession of my guns in case something happens to me when we are driving and/or travelling. I think this would be better than my trying to teach her the basics.

You might try looking for an NRA education and training course http://www.nrainstructors.org/searchcourse.aspx if you don't have a local firing range that offers training.

I checked it out. Put in the required info and got nada. Guess they don't have courses in a 25 mile radius of Mt Juliet. Thanks anyway!

Some ranges offer "women only" classes. My wife took the NRA's "Women on Target" course a couple years ago and seemed to enjoy it, though her interest has dropped off since then. It's not offered here anymore.

Hi, my first post! I took my class in Jan. with Mark Jones at The Gun Room in Lebanon TN. Great instructor, class and shooting tests all done on location as they have a very nice indoor shooting range. My wife and some of her girlfriends will be taking the class with Mark sometime in March. He can also schedule private or small group classes if you prefer. He also teaches advanced classes.

You might also think about siging up to a HCP class offered by the Mt. Juliet Police Department. I went through it twice, once for myself to get my HCP and yeasr later with my mother so she could get hers. The class is only $25 for Mt Juliet residence, $50 for Wilson County Residence, and $75 for all other TN Residence if I remeber correctly and was very "lady friendly."
