I don't use tapatalk and i am stuck on mobile browsing. Can't figure out how to get back to the fulll site. I am not so much a fan of the mobile version.

Droid Pro if it matters.

Thanks

Maybe not an excellent solution, but for two letter words you can add an asterisk to the word (ex. "XD*") and it will go through. It basically just tells the search engine to look for any word that includes "XD".

Nope, treats "got my* first cz* today" as literal, no error, but doesn't find thread, even when in the forum it exists. *.* doesn't work either.

I had that problem this morning. I had to close the browser and delete the bookmark. And then the 'go to full site' came back

Yes, you're right. I tried it with a few other examples that I thought were quite specific, even omitting non-essential 2 letter words and the search never returned the proper threads.

It's taking some getting used to, but I'm seeing things I like. The "Like" feature is gone and in it's place is "vote this post up " or "vote this post down" I like that. I always thought there should have been an opposite to the like feature. Good work David, the more I use it, the more I like it.

Except that does not seem to work. I tried to Vote your post up but it threw an error: "You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day".

I see that now. Oh well, it'll get fixed I'm sure.

I can adjust the # of allowed post votes per day. I'll work on that some this evening. Again, these are the minor growing pains I mentioned. :)

This isn't a software problem. If you search "glock hols* mag*" it comes back with search results. If you feed the search engine two back to back wildcards with a special character like a period between them, the search doesn't know what you're looking for and neither do I.

The other error is pretty easy to interpret:

One or all of your search keywords were below 3 characters or you searched for words which are not allowed, such as 'html', 'img', etc, please increase the length of these search keywords or choose different keywords.

In this case I was searching for "A cat in a hat" where only two of the words met the 3 character minimum. If I just search for the words cat hat without quotes around them, it works fine. If you put quotes around "cat hat" it is literally going to search for that sequence of words separated by a space.

Ok, so you really aren't voting the post up or down, you are adding postive or negative reputation to the person who made the post. Kind of the same thing, but kind of not. At any rate, I've increased the limit so members can leave up to 20 positive and 20 negative votes against other members within a 24 hour period. Should be enough.

No problem. But to clarify I've made no post votes. Maybe it's set to 0 or something. Don't ya just love rolling out new software?

You're right, actually. The Benefactor group had this feature turned off for some reason. I've fixed that.

seems different that liking or disliking, I may dislike a certain post, but not want to degrade the persons reputation. I guess use the "down" arrow with caution

Yep, one unpopular stand in one post in a hot topic, and you're toast, seems. Oh well, we're all toast, we just don't know when.

edit: ooops, I gave you an UP in two posts, and an accidental DOWN in another. Seems you can't change a mistake though. Oh well, you come out +1 overall :)

I notice that the voting feature does not appear beneath your posts. Head of the monarchy cares not for opinions of the serfs. :)

Of course, if the reptuation thing becomes a point of contention among the users, I'll probably do away with it. I prefer the idea of "liking" posts without it being tied to a person's reputation.

You're looking at it all wrong. My reputation is just so far in the toilet that it can't be saved, so the software doesn't even try. :)

"Like"

Back to the resizing....Tried site in Firefox with the same results. Switching to the IP.Board theme fills up the browser nicely so it's looking like something in the TGO theme. Just an FYI if you didn't already know.
