Pistol Ready Positions

Here's a video looking at the pro's & cons of various pistol ready positions. There are several recurring themes you'll notice in my videos. One of them is the idea of retaining the gun in a physical encounter. This plays into where and how I manipulate the gun for reloads. This plays into how I move with the gun. And, surprise, surprise, plays into where I position the gun when I am not in the act of shooting.

I am enjoying your videos Paul. I am just now taking my training seriously after carrying a firearm everyday for the last 8 years. It finally hit me like a ton of bricks, just cause I have a gun doesn't make me a marksman or ready for a situation just like owning a guitar doesn't make a person a musician.

Again, I am enjoying your videos. Thank You.

Excellent video. The "in-close" ready position was what I was taught in my "Level II" class at G&L. Taking the Level III class in April.
