Got a new Toy today.

I was at acadamy sports this morning getting some under armour & decided to walk back to the guns. It was around 930. They were just putting in the few guns that came in on the inventory truck & low a behold a Ruger LCP came in just as I was back there. It was my first time to see one of these since they came out. I had to go ahead a make the impulse buy since I understand there pretty hard to come by & Ive been looking for something smaller for the summer. Plus it was a decent price. 289.99 :Dit was the only one they got in. I cant wait to fire it. Im almost debating on going out int he backyard & putting a few rounds through it. Im going to the range this weekend so Ill let everyone know how it shoots.

Now where can I find more magazines for sale since it only comes with 1.

I'm pretty shocked that you were able to find a price cheaper than the local gun shops. Maybe it's just me, but any time I've priced guns at Academy, they're always quite a bit higher than everyone else.

They have them listed @ that price online but it says check store availibity. Thats why I hopped on it without second guessing myself. The guy behind the counter said they sell as fast as they get them.

I've seen some pretty good prices at Academy before, they had a 16" flat top Bushmaster for $875, which was cheaper than I had seen other Bushys for around town. I still prefer to deal w/ local shops though...

I asked out of curiousity when they got shipments & was told. Tues, Thurs & Sat. I went to a friends house to show him & he wanted 1 to he called the Cool Springs store but they didnt have any but were expecting some I got mine in rivergate.

Now the question is what is the best type of holster for this little gun or do most folks just drop it in there pocket? I have a 25.00 gift card for ebay & was looking at this but I havent ever had a paddle style holster & with this gun being so small would I even need 1?

They just keep the gun upright and ready to draw... also, they make it look less like a gun and more like a wallet.

well I've had it with me all day in my back pocket & to be honest I can't even tell I have it with me. I know its only been a day but I'm really impressed with this little gun.

Nah I got a Desantis nemisis pocket holster. I decided against the clip. Its to nice of a gun to cheapen the look of it with a clip. This is what I got. I really like it. It came in th e mail today. Its in my pocket as i type. Cant hardly wait to go to the range tomorrow.

Sweet... I'm going to the range tomorrow as well. I'm going to tighten up my wrist a bit and see if the problems I was having on my first outing stop (it wasn't feeding properly on the last round of every mag).

Eyebedam, Are you gonna be at the meetnshoot next weekend? I'm curious to see an LCP in real life.
