Haha, no that was their open market estimate. They said they couldn't offer near that much, obviously.

That is what they would try to sell it for and it would sit in the show case for years.

I never heard you say that it was a model 60? The papers help a little but the box is what makes it.

Yep model 60 no dash, 1973, .38 S&W Special. 2" barrel.

Never mind i Googled it. Yeah I'd say that's the only flaw. $450 was my suggestion to him at least as a reference point

$450 would be a fair asking price for the condition you describe. Why doesn't he buy a box of 38 ammo, and carry it? He'll be very hard pressed to find a better carry gun.

That was my suggestion. But like all young (25) new to firearms, he wants his Tupperware. I'm seriously considering buying it. Maybe he'll want it back someday.
