I went there today and it's finally open. The local range around Knoxville and Maryville to shoot up to .308 with. I went with my AK and there was a guy there with an Ar-15, another guy with an AK. We shot and shot. 25 yard range but it's better than nothing, shot it's great.

I should get pictures cause it's a nice range, padded couches in the back with a shelf for the storage of the guns and ammo.

The guys working there are real nice and helpful. I think that will hold up as they just seem to be that way naturally.

.

The range area is nice, very nice. They are nice. I wish them much luck and business.

Where are they located. I had heard that a range was opening, and was waiting to hear from some folks who had used it.

It's 2208 E Broadway Ave,

Website says grand opening April 19th. Same day as the Gunshow and the TGO shooting meet in Oak Ridge.

I have used it Russman and it's a nice one. Well lit also, ropes are on the bottom of the carboard to keep it from swinging when you run it out. Oh bring tape though if you tape holes some to save on targets, they use a stapler. The seats are a nice addition. Oh the heat isn't fully on right now (soon to be fixed they say) so it's a tad cool (colder than **** actually but I warmed up) in there, and the ventalation is pumping air like crazy also.

A couple of my friends are taking the carry class tonight and tomorrow night there. I'll see if I can get a report on how that went from them. They are also offering shooting classes at different levels and possibly a pre-permit firearm handling and range class for those that haven't handled a firearm before or need a brushup.

I'm really excited about it all. I live in Oak Ridge but I'm usually in Knoxville all the time anyway and it's only a mile or two off Pellissippi.

Anyone know if you can bring a guest for free if you are a member?

I was told back before they opened, and don't quote me on this, for a member plus additional guest is $5. I meant to confirm this the other day when I was there, but I forgot to ask on my way out.....O and they allowed my wife to come and watch since she didn't want to shoot any.

Yeah it's $5.00 for a non member if they share a lane with a member. I'm pretty sure about that.

What if you come in off the street without a membership? Is it $15 or do you have to become a member?

I didn't even think about that. I bet you are right......Well that would suck a little if you were stretched for time.

No, you don't. Don't think I've ever been to a range that did.
