Steering wheel holster

I was wondering if anyone had seen a setup like this or if they use something similar in their vehicles.

I have a modified make-up of my own that puts it under the knee bolster, A few LEO's I know (county) use this or similar for their BUG.

Seems like it would be a little awkward having to reach around the steering wheel. I guess it's a little better concealed under there.

I can't think of anything bad that could happen from having your firearm right out in plain sight like that.

I wouldn't want it there in front of my knees during a wreck. I plan to use my knees.

THIS was not what I thought when I read the headline. Heheheheh

I'd prefer to have the car holster beside the seat, near when my right hand would naturally fall.

I carry mine in a Wilderness Safepacker when I'm driving. Attaches to the seat belt and gives me quick access if I need it, and can be transferred easily and quickly between vehicles, or even worn on the belt.

It also has the "hidden in plain view" advantage.

I used to have a kydex holster screwed to the panel under the steering column. My back-up weapon rode in it. I found this set up to be much faster than drawing from the waist while seated.
