I have a nagging desire to get one also. I kinda have a thing for small guns. Does anyone know if the topbreak ones can be bought. I have read about them, but never seen one for sale (in person or online)

I saw a model called the pug with rear and front sights, it was real nice looking.

The top breaks were a limited run that I don't expect to see any more of anytime soon. They're commanding a pretty high price on the secondary market.

I run with a 1 5/8 mini in .22WMR. It's a great little piece of American engineering.

Mine is insanely accurate. I am still thinking about selling it though. I got the 22lr with the 1 1/8" barrel but wish I would have gotten the longer barrel. I can't carry it off duty as a police officer per SOP.

Oh, hey make sure you get a newer one with the cuts in the cylinder allowing the hammer to sit between loaded cylinders.

I can hit 12" pie plates at 25yrds with 36Gr Stingers. A friend had the Mag version but said he couldn't hit squat with it but I let him shoot mine and he did very well.

The top break model was called the Ranger. I think it was limited to about 400 examples they are pretty rare to see for sale and when they do come up the command a high price.

I have the .22mag with 1 5/8 barrel and both .22 mag and .22lr cylinders. I also have the .22 LR with 1 1/8 barrel and bone grips that fits in the belt buckle holster. These are great little "get off me" guns.

I swear I posted in this thread, already. Anyhow:

I have one in the 1 5/8 inch WMR model that I bought used. I couldn't do much with the birdshead grips so I put the oversize rubber grips on it and that helped a lot. I'm still not that great with it but can do okay out to about seven yards. Mine gets carried as a weak side BUG, sometimes. Here are some pics of it with a pocket holster I made for it. The holster works pretty well. I got a little carried away punching stitching holes in the thin leather so that is what the reinforcing strip of leather is all about.

Nice holster thats awesome. I figured getting one as a bug also, range toy, and conversation piece. This is the one I want.

That's 'The Pug', right? I've heard good things about them - particularly that the sights are better/somewhat more usable than on the standard models. I have heard that the pebbled, slip on grips they come with work well, too.

I think I would really like the fixed sight Black Widow model for the better sights and slightly longer barrel (2 inches.) I wouldn't mind having a convertible BW but I don't want to pay $$$ for one (MSRP for NIB is $304 for the model I would want.) I got my NAA used for $160 - which is less than the price I usually see on NIB two-shooter Cobra derringers. As much as I like it, I don't know if I could bring myself to pay $300 for a .22 mini revolver.

I have the 1 5/8 .22 wmr. Really cool little gun and as someone already said, amazingly accurate at 7 yds or closer. Carry mine a lot.
