My day shooting

So it's been a little while since I got out shooting. My buddy called me up and said he had a 3/8 inch steel plate that he got for shooting and wanting to know if I wanted to come along. I got in my car with my AR-15 and Glock 30 and off we went. We set the steel plate (on legs) 100 yards away and took aim. I had a blast. The plate was 24 inches x 24 inches and the reassuring "ding" after every 5.56 round was awesome. I was shooting 62 grain ammo and was surprised that it cut right through the steel almost every round. After we put the AR's up I thought it would be fun to take aim with my Glock 30. The 4th shot rang out indicating a hit followed by several more. I'm no marksmen but I thought that was pretty good. I was shooting a subcompact pistol 100 yards out. That was my day and I would venture to say it was the best day I've had in awhile. Just wanted to share.
