Bugging the crap outta me......

The Brownell's advert above the main forum body, the one with the 'accessorized' shotgun has been bothering me for a while now.

Has anyone else noticed that the loading gate seems to be hanging down by a half inch & the extended tube magazine looks bent!

I don't know why, but whenever that particular banner is above the forum, my eye is immediately drawn to it. Is it supposed to look like that, or have Brownells dropped a bollock by using a poorly built, cobbled together gun?

I would say it was slapped together to make a photo. I put the bracket that holds the mag tube to the barrel all the way out towards the end of the barrel, about 3 inchs back or less. That bent mag tube is probably harmless, but it looks bad. Take it off, put it back on, move the bracket out and it will straighten up. The loading gate may be a big issue or not; it could be some sort of easy-loader that needs adjustment or it could take a gunsmith to fix, depends on what it really is and what is wrong with it. For sure, its borked, nothing should stick out like that!

It does not bother me. But my settings kill flash player so nothing is animated, and its easy to ignore them once they are not animated.

To really annoy you, be on the look out for the 1911 ad; one of those guns looks like the mag is falling out, you can see metal of the mag sides, not just a floorplate or extension...

they sell extensions for the loading gates, the silly rem have to have that little silver button hit before you can insert a shell into the tube. It would make it alot easier to load.

Long ago broke myself of the habit of noticing stuff I can't afford, broken or otherwise - helps me sleep easier - so I'm barely aware of any ads on this site at all. Sorry that it bothers you so much. ;)

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Thank you for making me feel a little better.

Just looking for alternate explanations-- POSSIBLY it could look bent because of camera perspective anomaly? Doesn't seem likely, only possible. Long skinny things can have problems with perspective if you shoot the picture too close. I've screwed up lots of pictures that came out looking oddly-shaped because of some mistake. I don't pretend to be a good photographer.

Am I the only one who thinks that's just a computer animated pic and not an actual photo?

Nope , don't look real to me either ; but yes I have noticed all the things wrong with it too. Just don't care.
