After much practice, I am now getting my skills close to where I can actually play a reasonable round.

I am looking for people around my skill level to start playing with in Nashville. Anybody interested?

Also, if any of you more skilled players want to play, I'm up for it, but I'll warn you now, I'll probably have a pretty slow pace.

I'll probably have a pretty slow pace.

It doesn't matter what you score really. Any golfer should be able to play in four hours.

The difference between 110 and 95 is like next to nothing. The difference between 95 and 80 is night and day. Going low and staying there takes a big investment in time. You do not need big dollar equipment, spend the money playing.

I used to play a lot but cannot even remember the last time I played a round.

For me it worked out that if I could not play four or five times a week it was pointless as I sucked so bad I could not stand it.

I doubt I will play again unless I end up back in the industry, no way am I paying to play four times a week.

Yes, but when I played with friends of higher skill before, and it took me 4-5 shots to make my way down a par 5 and they are on the green in 3, they spent a lot of time waiting on me to take those extra shots. We were still done in 4 hours, but it was sometimes a bit monotonous.

I have played with guys way worse thamn me and way better than me, it was never a problem either way. So it takes one extra shot or two per hole. If you are playing "ready golf" your extra shot(s) are not noticable really. And I tell you I have played with some pros who are painstakingly slow and deliberate, drove me nuts. One pro I worked with had the nickname "Matrix" because it took him forever to play his shot.

Great player though, but the pace drove me nuts.

Where do you like to play? If you twist my arm just a little I can be talked into playing a little golf.

CrazyLincoln, I'd be up for a round or two as well. I can always be talked into a round unless of course I am fishing.

I'm a golfer and a Mason. And I own guns.

I guess we could all get together at Shelby Park and have a "shotgun" start :)
