It may not be very pretty, but this gun has a TON of history to it. It was the first gun I EVER shot, first gun I EVER hunted successfully with, and it's now the second oldest gun in my safe, behind my grandfather's bring back, mum intact, Arisaka 99. My grandfather bought this gun BRAND NEW from Sears Roebuck in 1955, for an entire 37 bucks. Talk about a gun that will NEVER leave your possession.

I have one that I bought off my Detachment Sergeant in 1980 with four magazines for $125.00. It is a fun and accurate pistol. The new Hi Standard in Texas is starting to make them again. Like your pistol, mine has a lot of memories attached to it.

I have a Victor, my wife has a DuraMatic. They are far and away the best bargains available in a .22 pistol! They are both capable of much better shooting than I've ever been able to do.

Aside from cleaning, all I've ever had to do is change the recoil springs about every 10K rounds.
