Tell me about the Peek a Boo targets on stage 12. I assume they keep rising and falling to cover up the shoot target but please confirm if this is correct.

It comes out once(exposed) and then disappears with a non threat target. The speed is adjustable.

The speed is adjustable.

Being that there is two of them triggered by one popper, are you going to have one moving a little slower? Or will both be going slow enough that we will have a decent chance to get the second one?

Maybe those are suggestions and not questions.

The last time we set them up, we had one blazing fast and the other just smokin fast. You will just have to come out and see what we do with them.

After an extended time away, I'm looking very forward to getting back to the range. The sad part is, I probably NEED an intro match to get back into the groove.

Well after reading the rule book in the provided link above, I need to do a few things to prepare. I'm going to need a new holster, all my set-ups are for tactical military type shooting. Going to need some magazine holsters for a P226, along with a few extra magazines. I need to do some measuring and weighing of my P226. The oprod in it is made of the same material as the factory, just has a buffer in it, I'm figuring I'll need to put back in the factory one for this. Are Sig Nil grips considered weighted? I have larger hands, so most of the pistols I shoot I put larger grips on.

I looking forward to getting out to my first match, even though it won't be until around the middle of March that I'll have the time to ge to one. If anyone shoots a Sig for this style of competition and has any equipment suggestions I'd appreciate it.

I hope the upcoming match is a success and I'll be seeing everyone around March.

Comp-Tac, Ready Tactical, Bladetech for holsters in that order of preference for great competition gear.

Here is the definition of weighted grips:

Weighted Grips: Any set of grips that weigh more than two (2) oz. over factory standard weight for the model.

That is an early drive from Chattanooga to Dickson! Glad to have you at the range.

I am looking forward to this! Do I need to sign up early and pay before Saturday or just show up early enough?

Are you guys allowing the use of legal suppressors on the pistol for the match?

Thanks!

Paying at the match is fine. Suppressors will not be allowed for ANY IDPA style match.

Another first timer planning to make it - been wanting to try this or USPSA. Frankly, I don't understand the difference. Guess I'll learn

Gun, magazine, ammo, eye and ear protection and you are good to go. Bring a holster if you have it or gun rag or bag for between stages. It should be a fun day at the range.

Here is a pdf of some things to at least be familiar with. Click Here Especially, for this match, the range commands.

If you get there early and want to help--you will get to see what is going on, and see the movers work.

Be safe and have fun.

And remember I do the scoring, so be especially nice to me. ;)

Rain or shine?

We will shoot in all weather: Snow, rain, hail, sleet, sunshine, cold, or heat. We do not shoot with active lightning or tornado. Flooding(May 2010) we were on the range but left quickly.

Absolutely. Thunder and lightning will stop us. But we will try and finish when it lets up. Or if it is too muddy and we think it is unsafe.

If you trip while kicking him in the balls, then that could earn you some $$$$$ and some seconds off your score. Just something to think about, just saying........

That is funny. You have shot with us enough to know safety is our most important goal. We do like to have fun at each others expense.
