Woodys Steak House, north of Rivergate, anybody ever eat there?

I'm looking for a nice steakhouse to take the family out to next Friday night before I deploy in Saturday. I'm really in the mood for a huge rare prime rib dinner before another year in Afganistan. Another choice would be Stoney River as I have eaten at thier original location down in Atlanta before.

Anybody here ever eat at Woody's? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Especially ones that are not posted.

It's been years since I last ate there but the subject did come up the other day (giving directions to the new Nrange) and I was informed it's not what it used to be.

My choice between Woodys and Stoney River is easy: Stoney River

My niece eats at Woodys often and enjoys it. I prefer Texas Roadhouse in Hendersonville. It is not too far from Woodys.

I am not familiar with the locations in Nashville.

However I have to add that of all the steakhouses in Knoxville, my personal favorite is Texas Roadhouse off of Morell Road. I have eaten at all the steakhouses in Knoxville, and I don't know what they do to the steaks at Texas Roadhouse, but none of them compare.

Granted, there are classier places, but I base it on what steak I like.
