I don't watch much TV and never rent movies. Never saw 2012 or any other movie unless it happens to run "free" on level II basic cable, and I happen to turn on the TV and notice.

2012 is on FX now. Restarts at 10:30 EST.

For whatever reason me & wife love watching the world get blown up. This movie just seems an unrealistic fantasy flick, but so far it is a pretty good roller-coaster ride. Not bad special FX.

It's been on all week. It's a very, very bad movie but the destruction is excellent and I really love disaster flicks. :)

The first half (only part I had seen on the first post) was better than the last half.

There were some decent second-half FX visual scenes of tsunami's and arks, but the second-half plot was weak. Maybe a mix between the original "The Posiedon Adventure" and "The Towering Inferno" but even worse. Pure unadulterated cheez, but not in a good way. :D With a pinch of the 1951 movie "When Worlds Collide" added for spice (which was either not cheez or cheez in a good way).

If they hadn't run out of steam in the middle, maybe it could have been a little better than a roller coaster ride. Or at least a more consistent roller coaster ride.

Some not shabby-crafted lines, such as "When they tell you not to panic, thats when you run."

Well, at least it is a zillion times better than any made-for-sf-channel movie I've seen. OTOH watching paint dry or watching cars rust is better than made-for-sf-channel movies.
