Just won a Winchester Model 1907 from an auction. Can't wait to get it. I had never heard of this gun but I love old guns. I have read a lot about this gun on the net. Does anyone have any experience with this gun? Now I just have to find some ammo.

I have, it could very well be an old law enforcement rifle or prison rifle, light recoil, dependable, ammo hard to find. Tyr Old West Scrounger website, better off looking for brass and reloading, charging handle on the front of the forearm, not light, adquate accruate rifle, fine for close deer etc.

Dont take apart until you are very familar with it.

Awesome rifles but expect to drop a buck or two each time you pull the tigger. also these rifles have a lot of history, I think Dillinger used one

Larry, I alwaysdisassemble an old gun before shooting it to verify its integrity. I don't wantsomething to go wrong the first time I shoot it. I don't trust anyone when itcomes to the safety of a gun.

I have also read that a lot of good guys and bad guys liked this gun. Baby face Nelson had one.
