I keep saying... I'm not gonna let you guys suck me into the knife thing. I'll probably wind up losing that battle.

One allure is that you can have 8-12 fairly esoteric knives for the price of a serviceable AR ... or my case maybe 25-40 nifty and perfectly serviceable ones.

There's also just something about knives being the first sophisticated tool and weapon that the species came up with. Although a club still certainly has its place, it's just a bitch to conceal.

Nothing wrong with those. I have had numerous Victorinox knives over the years. Very handy.

They are of good quality, I like my Victorinox multi-tool much more than my Leatherman multi-tool, it's superior to the Leatherman all around.

Love that Gerber design. I'm carrying an inexpensive similar design, the Kershaw Tremor, though it's assisted opening liner lock.

I've never carried or used the Gerber, too nice to scratch up. If I still hunted I would use it for my skinner knife, it's still razor sharp.

K191145, nice collection. What is the fixed blade at the far right with the nice sheath?

Knives have quickly become an addiction for me. Since Christmas, I have bought 2 Benchmades, 3 Kershaws, and 1 SOG.

I also have acquired several older Case folders that I am partial to.

I find myself drawn to the Kershaws above everything else for some reason. They seem to have a more varied product line than anyone else. Good quality while still being very affordable. I am afraid to turn myself loose on the ZT line as well as some of the other more expensive ones because my bank account won't support that behavior.

Just like firearms, it's nice having blade options. I love opening my drawer in the morning and asking myself "Which one(s) will I carry today?".

Haa, that knife to the far right is a, too much time on my hands knife. I dug it out of the yard when I was a kid all rusted up and the handle half rotten. Recently I used a Dremal to clean it up, made a leather handle and sheath for it. It has no markings so I assume it's a cheapo so don't ask why I would put so much time into it, just sentimental about my childhood I guess. It holds a good edge though, it will now shave arm hair so it can be a usefull knife now.

I didn't intend to collect knives but since I have a few nice ones i'm more interested. The small black folder is a Robi-Klass made in Germany, my dad had it since I can remember. Do you know anything about those knives?

That's pretty cool, and a fun time at that!

Is the second one from the left a Case Melon Tester?

Gesco Melon, Fruit Tester Knife made in Japan. Got busted with it in the 7th grade back in 1975, the teacher took it and told me she would give it back at the end of the day and don't bring it anymore. She said the blade was too long, they didn't care about small 2" blade knives then. Times shore have changed.
