I hope everyone realizes that winning the white house is just 1/3 of the battle. we must take back congress enough to pass meaningful laws that will pull us back to the constitution and appoint judges that will advocate for the constitution and not via a progressive agenda.

I am pulling for Newt I think but I will be happy to vote for any of the guys left in order to get the guy out of office we have now

The last two debates Newt really made a statement, standing "O's" for many of his comments.

People like what they hear and I think the negative ads from mittens and paul had back fired, same with Newt's 'ex comments. Good for Newt, I hope he can keep it up.

I am curious.

Just who will pass these meaningful laws?

Does Anyone actually think there is meaningfull difference between repubs and dems?

We need to repeal laws. We sure don't need new(t) ones.

Amen on that one. Couldn't have said it better myself.

My ideal next congress wouldn't pass any new laws. All they would do is repeal old ones.

 whose laws would you rather have, Newt's, Mitt's or BHO's?

You're more likely to get BHO's rather than laws from any of the current bunch running who will rely on congress to forward any new laws.

Though improbable fantasy (and I don't know enough about law whether a boilerplate law could modify all previous law)-- If they could write a law causing all previous and future federal legislation to automatically sunset after a few years. What sunset period is realistic? 2 years? 10 years?

The sunset law would also require each law to be refreshed one at a time, so that congress couldn't take the easy way out and pass a single one paragraph bill renewing all previous law for another ten years.

If every decade congress was forced to individually re-argue and re-vote on every dang monstrosity accumulated over the last 236 years-- Not only would they finally have to work for a living, but perhaps they would stay too busy to invent new monstrosities?
