Shooting a 1911 is like shaking hands with John Wayne.

Yes. I got my 1st 1911 last year and I am wondering how much of my income tax money will go towards my next one.

Nice pistol. Bought a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec a couple years ago, impulse buy, good price, from a customer who's business was closing. So excited until I noticed a very faint FI Brazil on the dustcover. I have Glocks and Russian AKs. But a 1911 has to be Made In America for me to keep it. Range report please. I'd also like to see how the finish holds up. Not so well on a parkerized Springfield.

took it to the range twice already dialing my reloads......150 rounds down the pipe so far and every one went bang this is day one out of the box at 30 feet....just getting used to a 45ACP too for the first time1911shots.jpgthen this is today....a lightened my bullet load a little and I did enjoy the gun even more...still out of the boxno cleaning or oil other than what the factory added (rem oil I imagine) and my groups are getting tighterkeep in mind im just a weekend shooter,a few times a month

oddly enought I went from low and left to low and right.....but still less stragglers this time.....I think its time to clean it and relube ..no signs of wear on the finish

which is pretty nice IMO....

I love my Springfield 1911 Range Officer I got last year. Now looking for a 1911 (To replace my xd-40) that would be good for carrying that's not full size and also not a bad kick. Anybody have any ideas? I've seen some nice, smaller Kimbers that might fit that bill.

Ever look at the Sig line for a commander size? Had a little experience with the C3, own an RCS. Have a Colt Officiers and a Springer LWt Loaded Operator. All great alternatives to the Kimber. And no I'm not bashing Kimber's. I've owned 2 of them. The last a Pro Carry II, that I just sold and got another Sig 1911. Just seemed I had a better feel for the others than the Kimber.
