Tac Solutions AR22 dedicated upper dead or not?

Trying to see if anyone else has had problems, or hopefully a solution to the maybe death of my Tac Solutions dedicated upper AR22 problem.

So, it ran super smooth for the 1st 2k rounds or so. Then, I brought it out to the range last week. Click bang, click nothing. ... and this went on with me manually cycling the bolt and the bolt working to eject the spent casing and putting a fresh one in the chamber then click and no bang, this happened every time it went off and then the next round not. (click bang, click nothing..but 6 of 10 times its just click nothing)

-- I've cycled 3-4 different kinds of ammo with the same results

-- I've changed two different lowers with the same results

-- I've tried all 15 of my blackdog mags (brand new & used) same results

-- I actually ordered the Tac Sol AR22 maintenance kit and changed out the recoil spring, and striker ... same results ????

So, is it dead, a new carrier needed? Other???

Would appreciate any ideas or help. THANKS MUCH!

is the gas tube clogged?

HUH?

It has no gas tube.

I suggest you remove the firing pin from its channel and clean the channel very well. I do know they tend to get really gunked up with crud. I normally remove the firing pin the shoot carb cleaner down the channel. Use a Q-tip to finish cleaning it.

This is likely the cause of your problems. I know mine does the exact same thing when it gets clogged up with gunk.

I've dealt with tactical solutions customer service in the past and had their president return my call. I had an early model upper fo which they sent me a newly designed bolt carrier group. He even called back a few days later to ensure that it solved my problem.

I have bought several of their other products since knowing that they really stand behind them.
