Boy what a moron.

No, I'm just kidding. That's what this site is about--introducing people to all kinds of things gun related and specifically local to this state.

Yes, the previous post explained it. It is also probably the cheapest shooting sport you can get involved in. Someone could go get a cheap used Taurus revolver, a couple of speed loaders, a box of 100ct Win White Box and a cheap holster and still win the match. That's a lot of the appeal for me.

As Rabbi said IDPA is about the cheapest shooting sport you can find. Another advantage is that there are several IDPA clubs in the middle TN area.

I used to shoot the state level matches at Manchester and always had a great time.

And its generally not filled with competitive a-holes. Like some other shooting sports I could mention....

You should give it a try Roy, I learned a lot about how I shoot, how I can't shoot and had the most fun I've ever had shooting..

Plus a didn't blow through 200 rounds for a few hours at a range.

Many of us are new to shooting IDPA you should join us Sunday,

Yes, Semi-autos are fine.... just bring plenty of CLIPS...:D

you need to have a strong side holster, extra mags, and ammo...they local guys are usually all pretty cool and will walk you through the safety speech, and the scoring...I plan on doing it for the first time in the next couple of weeks...

have fun!!!

how many magazines do i need to have? i only have two 15 rounds mags.

Since they only allow you to load the mag to 10 rnds to make it more of an even playing field, you might want two more mags. I take four mags with me but I have seen 1911 shooters with up to six mags. It is fun give a shot.

DCloudy just introduces me to three gun. Now that was fun. Next match in Lewisburg is April 27th.
