1911 spring kits.

I was just wondering if anyone knows who stocks or where to purchase spring kits for 1911's (both full size and compact's) in or around the Nashville area. I know they can be purchased through many online retailers. But I like to spend my money in the Volunteer state if possible!

I think The Reloaders Bench in MT. Juliet carries them. They have got so much stuff in that tiny store I always notice something new with each trip.

Some 'economy' make 1911s can certainly benefit from good springs which perform to their rating. If you've got a common brand (Springfield, Kimber, S&W, etc...), I'd hesitate to change much unless there is a problem, or you are running extremely light or heavy loads which require some tuning of the recoil management.

Thus the case... it is a Springfield Armory Ultra compact and I just wanted a lighter spring for when I am shooting light loads at the range. It operates fine with standard and defense loads. Just want to tweak it for the range.

I know you said you prefer to buy locally but if you've not found what you're looking for yet, I highly recommend Wolff GunSprings. I've bought from them and they have a good selection of high quality springs (and other items). Their website:
