I'm very familiar with the model 36, I'm probably questioning the price more so than anything. It seams like a deal. There are better carry pieces out there, my Grandfather had a 36 that I wish I had is the reason I'm thinking so hard on it.

Asking members of a gun website if you should buy another gun is like asking a man if he likes boobs.

I'm extremely qualified to answer this poll. I like guns and boobs!!!! The more the merrier!! :yum:

Yes.

If it was blue I'd say Absolutely. Being Nickel just gets a Yes.

Why a blue over a Nickel? Catalog prices add like $20 for nickel.

I can understand that. I dont know if I would rather it be blue, nickel, or stainless. It has a serial number starting with "C" and then just numbers. I think that puts it at about 67-69

I’m not a big fan of nicked gun’s or stainless steel for that matter but will bend a little on the stainless steel ones. That said an older pinned barrel S&W Model 36 in good condition at $300.00 would get my attention, nicked finish and all. So yes, I’d buy it and then I’d suggest you give it to your wife to keep for her own. Once you take her out with it and have her shoot a box or two of wadcutter’s through it she’ll fall in love with it.

As far as boobs go, I prefer them two at a time. :D

If its an airweight nickel don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out to get it. I bought my wife a nickel airweight 36 manufactured in early 80's for our engagement, and gladly paid $500, mind you it was 95%+ with original grips and box.

My wife just asks nowadays if I wanted it or needed it. If I told her I wanted

it, she would say "good answer". I would probably get slapped if I said I needed

it.

Buy it.

The problem here is that boobs can talk. The boobs didn't like guns. I could see the writing on the wall..........either the guns were going to go or the boobs were going to go. I loving memory of the boobs, I promise to always buy guns two at a time.
