Not sure about the boots, but I have a Gould & Goodrich ankle holster for my .38 taurus. It is comfortable even when tight. If running, it will hold up, but you may have to adjust it afterwards. If you can get away with wrapping it around your boot, I think it would probably do just fine.

Uncle Mike's ankle rig and an S&W 442 for me, though I seldom wear boots--I'm always in NB running shoes or dress shoes. It holds up fine whatever I do, and it's comfortable to wear all day without adjusting it--it did take me a little while to figure out exactly where on my ankle was most comfortable though.

I figure if I carry a gun it's because I want it right to hand in case of need. Being a middle aged fat guy an ankle holster just doesnt fit that bill. I would have to stoop down to get to it. And that could take weeks.

That said, for those who remember Tommy St. Charles obm, he worked in his shop for over 30 years, in a lousy neighborhood most of the time, and his own weapon was a .25acp strapped to his ankle. I thought about getting an ankle holster for my Colt 1903 just in his memory.

well heres the thing if its in there either it is purely back up so either my 45 has died or i shot 3 clips up (not likely) so im gonna be behind cover at that point i got time to get to it or im somewhere that i dont need a gun to be easily found and i figure in my boot is as good a place as any

I saw a ladder slip and slide down a wall once. The man on the ladder was wearing cowboy boots. He landed feet first and broke both heels of his feet. He was out of work nearly 2 months.

From your name, I guess that you would be in Bail Enforcement. I think that is the term they use these days....

you would be correct and bail enforcment or fugitve recovery are the correct terms "bounty hunter" makes people think we are kickin in doors with guns drawn and basicly acting like a bunch of fools, which has no place in the industry these days
