I was shooting out back behind my house and the nieghbors of a horse farm came over saying there horses were going crazy. They told me I couldn't shoot cause I was to close to the road(around 50 yds). I guess they should be glad I was only shooting 22lr. I was wondering if there is any one that knows the law on this I would be appreciative. I have been shooting for two uears here and they just bought the farm next door.

AFAIK, the only state law about a certain distance is in relation to hunting and that has to do with domiciles, not roads.

There may be something in various county ordinances but I've never seen anyone quote one on here.

I would try to work something out, but I think you have the right to shoot there. The road is a non issue, so long as you are not shooting down it or across it or something idiotic that would endanger traffic (I assume you are not). The issue is where the horses are (how far away) and what you can do to work with them so everyone is happy. They may be unreasonable, or anti-gun, or who knows what, but you are stuck living next to them for at least the near future so it cannot hurt to try talking.
