This is not a "Sit-It-Out-And-Pout" election. This is a "Get-Obama-Out" election.

None of that matters. What matters is what it costs to get dwindling and harder to access resources to the end users, and how many of the end users can afford the end product. Of course one's consumption footprint is vastly larger than the area required to merely contain it.

Practically speaking, we'll be "out of stuff" long before the planet is.

What he said. I would prefer they all move to Montana and leave me here in TN. :D

Every person on earth, all 7 billion, could fit in an area so small it would blow your mind.

Tennessee Right to Life - Overpopulation Myths (United Against Abortion, Infanticide, Euthanasia, Human Cloning and Fetal Tissue Research.)

Standing arms length apart, all could fit within the city of Jacksonville, Florida.

Split up into family units of 4, and each family given a 50' x 50' piece of land, all 7 billion could fit in the state of Montana, with room left over.

The earth has a LOT more resources than we can use in thousands of years. It is 3/4 water. It filters its own water. It creates it's own petroleum lubricant deep within the crust and mantle of the earth. Fish are abundant in the ocean. It can sustain a LOT of people. That's what it's here for.

My biology professor in college told me that man isn't a species, he is a disease and someday the Earth is going to get healthy!

That biology professor is the problem. He is infected with liberalism, not the old style, either.

I have spoke to people who believe the earth would be better without humans. They even welcome it even if it means they are going to die. They would be willing to sacrifice the human race as a whole to save the earth. I could neve wrap my mind around that statement.

Yep, and those folks who think that way should go ahead and do the obvious thing which is to eliminate their carbon footprint... permanently. If guns are too evil to use they should Google "Seppuku with Frisbee".

Yeah my boss said this to me ten years ago. Here's some homework, you've got that 50 by 50 bit of land, feed yourself off it. Go ahead, run the calculations. Use the most most beneficial numbers possible. Imagine you eat only vegetables, use no fertilizer and so forth. That 50 by 50 is plenty of space to live in but not near enough to provide for yourself and the three others.

That said, those that see man as a cancer ware just plain wrong. The equate man to some special enlightened species, all you need to do is to look at shark bay to know what hens when one species gets too popular. I know it isn't happening fast enough for the earth lovers or the end of times folks but man isn't permanent. He's just troubled that things don't happen in a lifetime.

Hold your arms out wide. Your left index finger is the start of the earth. Your right index finger is the here and now. Get a nail file out, and draw it not too harshly on your right index finger's nail. You've just wiped out the history of man. WE haven't been here long, probably won't be here long.

Maybe

did it better.
