Did you find someone who has these in stock? Mrs. Santa wanted to get me my first 1911 for Christmas, and I decided on a Springfield 1911 loaded. It finally came in a couple days ago, and am still waiting for a day off to get it to the range. It was backordered, like the SR1911 and the Remingtons.

I have an SR on order as well its coming in a few weeks or so from a big name gun websight but the R1s are plentyfull

and they are also making a SS version too

I just got a Rock Island Armory tactical 1911. Shot it yesterday and am very pleased. Very nice trigger pull with virtually zero travel. Bells hire Hardware in Nashville stocks them and they have the best price anywhere. $408 GI version, $445 Tactical.

Can't go wrong with any quality 1911. I have only one - Springfield loaded - and it's my current EDC. This Talo is beautiful and will serve you well. Congratulations on owning such a nice weapon system.
