I think my JSE barrel is out of spec. This is a JSE BD 7" barrel I'm installing on a Spikes upper. The round piece is to large to fit down into the notch on the upper. Is this normal?

It may just be the picture, but it looks like the notch in your upper isn't cut squarely. A few careful strokes with a file should do the trick, if you're comfortable doing that.

Take the barrel out and look at the notch. Clean up the notch so the barrel stays in proper alignment

with the upper.

I would be inclined to put the nut on and gently tighten it. It looks like it's just a little deformed. I'm betting everything will line up fine. Looks at your feed ramps after the barrel is seated.

Thanks for the replies! I just tightened the barrel and it went in. Thanks! a6890e57-2d2b-fac4.jpg
